Description
Ensuring the reliable and safe operation of analytical, process analytical and gas detection systems through independent maintenance, inspection, calibration and repair activities. As a technical lead, you provide expertise and guidance to the team, support coordination of daily activities and contribute to plant availability, operational safety and continuous improvement while ensuring compliance with applicable regulations and HSE requirements.
Responsibilities and accountability
Requirements and expertise
- Maintenance, calibration, and servicing of analytical, process analytical, and gas detection systems, including the execution and documentation of inspection and maintenance activities
- Fault diagnosis, troubleshooting, functional testing, and recommissioning, ensuring system availability and measurement quality
- Identification, documentation, and assessment of deviations and faults; initiation and independent development of appropriate corrective actions, as well as escalation of relevant deviations to the supervisor
- Ensuring effective internal communication in the event of malfunctions or incidents
- Providing technical support to employees and external service providers and coordinating workflows
- Supporting the supervisor with daily workforce planning and resource allocation
- Supporting plant shutdowns, maintenance turnarounds, modifications, projects, and commissioning activities
- Participating in continuous improvement initiatives and ensuring compliance with safety, quality, and compliance requirements
Personal skills
Education
- Completed vocational training as an Electronics Technician for Automation Technology, Industrial Electronics Technician, Mechatronics Technician or comparable technical qualification.
- Additional qualification as a Master Craftsman (German Meister), Technician or equivalent is an advantage.
Work experience
- Several years of practical experience in process analytics, analytical technology, gas detection technology or industrial maintenance
- Experience in maintenance, calibration and troubleshooting of analytical systems
- Experience with technical documentation, process flow diagrams and electrical schematics
- Knowledge of process control systems is an advantage
- Knowledge of applicable safety and quality requirements
- Experience with plant shutdowns, turnarounds and modifications is preferred
