This privacy policy explains how and why your personal data is processed by AEQ Amethyst B.V. and including each of its Affiliates, (also referred to as “Velogy”, “we”, “our” and “us”). This occurs when we provide you with products and/or services, when you use our websites and other digital platforms, when you supply goods or services to us and when we send you marketing communications.
Affiliates include: (a) Any parent company(ies) that directly or indirectly owns a majority of Velogy, (b) Any other company that is majority-owned, directly or indirectly, by Velogy or by its parent companies in item (a), and (c) Any joint venture in Velogy, any parent of Velogy or an company in item (b) has day to day operational control.
The data controller for your personal data is the entity with which you have a relationship with or who offers products or services to you based on your country.
Velogy is a “controller” in relation to its use of your personal data. This is a legal term which means that we make decisions about how and why we use your personal data and, because of this, we are responsible for making sure it is used in accordance with applicable data protection laws (in certain jurisdictions, we may not be called a “controller” under the applicable laws, but the legal essence is the same. The controller in respect of personal data processed in connection with the www.velogy.com (the “Website”) is Velogy. For the purposes of the other processing activities set out in this privacy statement, the controller will be the relevant Velogy entity providing you and/or your organization with products/services (or, in the case of suppliers/vendors, the Velogy entity receiving products/services from you) or any website or digital platform or sending you marketing communications. In this privacy statement, when we talk about “personal data” or “personal information,” we mean any information that relates to an identifiable natural person – in this case, you.
The term “process” means any activity relating to personal data, including, by way of example, collection, storage, use, consultation and transmission.
You should read this privacy statement so you know what personal data we collect about you, what we do with it and how you can exercise your rights in connection with it. You should also read any other privacy notices that we give you that might apply to our use of your personal data in specific circumstances from time to time.

Personal data processing:
When you submit a request via our website, we collect the following personal data: name, company, email address, phone number, country, city and the content of your message. This personal data is processed solely for the purpose of handling your inquiry, communicating with you, and responding to your request. The legal basis for this processing is our legitimate interest in managing business communications and requests (Article 6(1)(f) GDPR), or, where required, your consent (Article 6(1)(a) GDPR). Access to your personal data is restricted to authorized personnel within RO&P who are responsible for handling inquiries, and your data is not shared with third parties for marketing purposes. In addition, personal data may be processed by trusted service providers acting as data processors on our behalf, such as website hosting and IT support providers. These processors are contractually bound to process personal data strictly in accordance with our instructions and applicable data protection laws.
Your personal data is retained for the period necessary to process and respond to your inquiry and for a reasonable follow‑up period, after which it is deleted, unless a longer retention period is required by applicable law. Your personal data is not transferred outside the European Economic Area.
To protect our website and online forms from spam, abuse, and automated submissions, we use Google reCAPTCHA v3, a service provided by Google LLC. reCAPTCHA v3 operates in the background and analyses user behaviour to assess whether interactions are carried out by a human or an automated system. In this context, Google may process information such as IP address, browser and device information, operating system, referrer URL, and interaction data. This processing is carried out for security and fraud prevention purposes.
The use of Google reCAPTCHA is subject to Google’s Privacy Policy and Terms of Service. Google LLC acts as a data recipient in connection with this processing. Where required by applicable law, Google reCAPTCHA is only activated after you have provided your consent via our cookie consent mechanism (Article 6(1)(a) GDPR). Data may be transferred to Google servers located outside the European Economic Area, including to the United States, on the basis of the European Commission’s Standard Contractual Clauses or other appropriate safeguards in accordance with Articles 44–49 GDPR.
You have the right to request access to, rectification or erasure of your personal data, to restrict or object to its processing, and, where applicable, to data portability. Where processing is based on consent, you may withdraw your consent at any time by contacting Privacy@velogy.com, without affecting the lawfulness of processing carried out before such withdrawal. You also have the right to lodge a complaint with your local data protection authority
