Description

Ensure the reliable, safe, and efficient operation of online analytical, process analytical, and gas detection systems by independently performing maintenance, inspection, calibration, testing, and repair activities. Contribute to equipment reliability, operational safety, and continuous process improvement while ensuring compliance with applicable regulations and HSE requirements.

Responsibilities and accountability

Requirements and expertise

  • Performing maintenance, inspection, calibration, and repair work on analytical, process analytical, and gas detection systems
  • Monitoring system conditions, analyzing faults, and independently troubleshooting and resolving malfunctions
  • Carrying out functional tests in accordance with specified maintenance schedules, recommissioning equipment and measurement systems, and documenting all work performed
  • Identifying deviations from normal operating conditions, initiating immediate corrective measures, and reporting them to the supervisor
  • Supporting the optimization of maintenance processes, system availability, and operational safety
  • Supporting plant shutdowns, modifications, expansions, and commissioning activities
  • Collaborating with internal specialist departments and external service providers in compliance with HSE, GMP, and quality requirements
Personal skills

Education

  • Completed vocational training as an Automation Technician, Industrial Electrician, Mechatronics Technician or a comparable technical qualification.

Work experience

  • Experience in the maintenance and repair of industrial equipment
  • Basic knowledge of process analytics, instrumentation, gas detection systems, automation technology, or analytical instrumentation
  • Understanding of sample conditioning systems, sensors, and measuring equipment
  • Experience with technical documentation and calibration/inspection management; knowledge of distributed control systems (DCS) is an advantage
  • Ability to read technical drawings, P&IDs, and plant documentation
  • Knowledge of applicable safety regulations and technical standards
